A south-facing, 3.38-ha site of calcareous marls at 260 m just above Costa Russi in Barbaresco itself. Acquired in 1967, wine produced from 1970. It wasn’t made in 2018 and 2019. 50-year-old vines. The land was previously owned by the designer of the Fiat Topolino and the Fiat 500. All Gaja Barbarescos are made in the same way as the Classico. 6,000 bottles made.Already ruby in colour. Really exciting nose with a perfume that's already somewhat evolved and classic structure. Lots of grip after a creamy mid palate. Really pure and amazingly long. Polished tannins.
